Our Fresh Bark Fines come from a variety of fir trees and carry a naturally reddish tint that gives garden beds and plant borders a clean, fresh appearance. Because this product is untreated, it is safe to use around animals and small children, making it a popular choice for family yards and landscapes.

Fresh bark fines work best for:

Because fresh bark fines are already small and uniform in size, they are easy to spread and work with. Additionally, their smaller size means they will break down faster than larger bark products, which helps add organic matter back into your soil over time.

Please note: due to their small size, fresh bark fines can blow around in windier areas. If your property gets a lot of wind, our 2″ Bark Nuggets may be a better fit as they are larger and stay in place more reliably.
