Our 3 inch mixed basalt makes a great road base for driveways and parking areas. It also works well to build up spots that are prone to muddy conditions. This rock gives you a solid foundation before adding a finer top layer.

This is a crushed product, and it contains a significant amount of fines. These fines are intentional, since they let road base pack down into a firm, stable layer once it settles.

Because this rock is meant as a base, you will need to top it with something finer before driving on it. For a budget friendly option, try our 7/8″ crushed basalt for the final layer.
