7/8 Inch Crushed Basalt is a versatile gravel commonly used for driveway projects, especially existing driveways that need some help. Unlike our county spec 5/8 Inch Driveway Gravel, our 7/8″ Inch Crushed Basalt  is a crusher byproduct, sometimes called tailings. It performs in a similar way, but its slightly bigger pieces may pack better into softer, muddier surfaces. It also is a slightly more budget friendly option, that will get very similar results.

This is a crushed product, and it will contain a significant amount of fines. These fines are intentional, since they allow for compaction.

Common uses include:

• Refreshing an existing muddy or poorly compacted driveway
• Parking areas and equipment pads
• General compaction over soft ground
• Farm and rural access roads
