3″ Railroad Ballast is a crushed rock that has been screened to remove most fines. This product is uniform in size and has a more rugged look. It can be used for landscaping, or for drainage, or backfill. It is also what we recommend for extremely muddy conditions (2″+ of solid mud). This can help bring back some structure to driveways and parking areas. You will need to top it with something smaller, such as our 1 1/4″ Crushed Gravel, in order to drive on the area.
