Our 1.5″ Basalt Chips are a dark, uniform landscape rock that has been screened to remove most fines. Like our 3/4″ Basalt Chips, this is a clean chipped product that will not compact or pack down. Because of this, it is primarily a decorative ground cover rather than a driveway product. If you need something that packs and binds, our 1.25″ Crushed Gravel may be a better fit.

At 1.5 inches, this product is a cost effective option that works especially well in larger coverage areas where you want a clean, dark, uniform look without spending on a premium decorative rock.

This size works best for:

• Decorative ground cover and garden beds
• Breaking up muddy or soft areas where drainage is needed
• Low maintenance ground cover around trees and shrubs
